Ireland is like no other place under heaven.
George Bernard Shaw

Ireland has a certain warmth and vibrancy, which one would not expect from a country where the sky is almost always grey. I have always admired the brave mix of colours which can be found from people’s gardens, to front doors, to pub interiors. These vibrant colours work especially well in the countryside and come out fully on a bright sunny day. When I was visiting Wexford in summer I was lucky enough to capture some very colourful pictures.

Ireland is known as the Emerald Isle, but it has a rich palette, beyond all shades of green. Minimalism and colour coordination are definitely not popular here, which is why the country looks so welcoming and cozy, regardless of how rare sunny days are. I fell for its cuteness years ago and I am still very much in love with it.
