Within just one week, I received the scans of 3 films spanning from early March to last Friday. And all of a sudden I have a lot of catching up to do, as it is almost summer and I still haven’t posted my pictures from early spring. All these images were taken either right before or during the lockdown here in Dublin.
It is my second spring in Ireland, but I don’t think I would have noticed it to the extent that I did now, because of the stillness of the world around me and my senses not being bombarded with things that I do not really want to see… In a world clutter and noise it is hard to have that clarity of thought and vision that is so essential for many forms of art like photography and even for simply being present and fulfilled with your own life.
