Today I received the scans from the second film I shot at Ambaritsa hut. The film is Kodak Gold, as usual, but as I am using a lab here in Bulgaria, the colours of the scans are a bit different from the ones I usually get in Ireland. I guess this is the beauty of film, it is not a Lightroom preset, it is not Photoshop and exact accuracy is not so crucial as it is with digital. Even though there is a slightly different tint to them, I am really happy with the photos I got. I managed to capture a bit more details on the second film and some more intimate angles of the place. I love the raw aesthetic of film, which is somehow more honest and gives the story a bit more realism. Nature definitely looks better on film.
